Gastroenterological Society of Australia - Young Investigator Award 2020
The recent Gastroenterological Society of Australia’s annual conference saw Dr Craig Haifer awarded the Douglas Piper, Young Investigator Award.
The Douglas Piper award recognises the most meritorious research contribution to the scientific program by an early career research in clinical or translational research. Dr Haifer received the award for his work on the LOTUS study, an investigator initiated, placebo controlled trail using oral faecal microbiota transplantation in ulcerative colitis.
Dr Haifer’s presentation on the LOTUS Study was also voted as the People’s Choice award, as the most popular presentation in the plenary session.
